Performance
In summer 2026 we were delighted to achieve yet another year of record-breaking GCSE and A Level outcomes at Phoenix Academy. Our GCSE results rank the school in the top 3% of schools nationally - an incredible reward for the dedication of both students and teachers alike. The Government's headline measure (Progress 8) enables parents to compare students' achievements across different schools in England. Phoenix's Progress 8 score of +0.75 means that students on average achieve nearly an entire grade higher than similar students nationally. This goes to show the life-changing impact that an education at Phoenix can provide. We are delighted to have met, and in many cases exceeded, a suite of ambitious targets that we set for ourselves this year.
GCSE
Our GCSE results were the some of highest in the school's 70-year history. There were some fantastic grades across the board, and we celebrated some of our strongest-ever results in several subjects, including Computer Science and PE, with Humanities, Languages and core subjects continuing to soar.
We couldn't be prouder of our Year 11 students, whose hard work, ambition and commitment have delivered an outstanding set of GCSE results:
- 85% achieved grade 4+ in English, with 31% of grades at 7-9
- 77% achieved grade 4+ in Maths, with nearly a quarter of students achieving a 7+
- 75% achieved grade 4+ in both English and Maths
Among the many brilliant individual results across the year group, a special congratulations goes to Hameda and Suen Kei, who secured an incredible clean sweep of straight grade 9s across every subject!
We are so pleased that most of our students will be continuing their studies in our Sixth Form.
A-Level
Phoenix Academy is celebrating another year of outstanding A Level results and exceptional university destinations! This year's cohort also achieved exceptional subject outcomes, including 100% A*-B grades in Sociology and some of the academy's strongest-ever results in Biology and Classical Civilisation.
We are so incredibly proud of the hard work and dedication shown by all of our students. We were delighted to see some of our students secure places at top universities, including:
- Dylan achieved A*AB and will study Theoretical Physics at the University of Exeter
- Juan achieved AAB and will study History at UCL
- Alina achieved BBB and will study Midwifery at King's College London
- Sara achieved ABC and will study International Relations at Queen Mary University of London
