Reporting a Safeguarding Concern

At Phoenix Academy, safeguarding is the collective responsibility of all our staff. Guided by our core values of knowledge, aspiration, and respect, we are committed to creating a safe and nurturing environment where every child can thrive and reach their full potential.

We fully recognize our moral and statutory duty to safeguard and promote the welfare of every child, always prioritizing their best interests. Our staff receive annual training to ensure they are prepared to respond to any safeguarding concerns swiftly and effectively. We work closely with families and external agencies to ensure every child is known, supported, and their needs are met.

If you have concerns about a child being harmed or at risk, or if you receive a disclosure, it is crucial to report it immediately. You can contact our safeguarding team via email (details below) or speak directly to any staff member at the Academy.

Inclusion (SEND)

At our academy, we believe in creating inclusive environments that aim to meet the needs of all students.

We want to ensure that our Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND) provision offers appropriate support for those facing barriers to their learning.

We provide support within all four broad areas of SEND:

  • cognition and learning
  • communication and interaction
  • sensory and physical
  • social, emotional and mental health

Our school SENDCO leads on the provision for students with SEND to ensure that it is of the highest standards.
