Phoenix Academy

Reopening Update

Phoenix Academy has begun to welcome students back to school.

Future Academies’ highest priority is the wellbeing of its pupils, staff and wider communities.

Following guidance from the UK government, we set out plans to reopen Phoenix Academy on Tuesday 16th June to Year 10 students. These plans are contingent on a number of factors, including risk assessments and the wider national statistics. In the first instance, we welcomed back students in Year 10 alongside the current cohort of vulnerable and key worker children.

We have prepared the school site so it is safe and secure for everyone. The safety of our students and wider community, is our utmost priority. A COVID-19 certificate is displayed on the school gate in recognition of us being safe enough to re-open.

We will welcomed back Year 10 on Tuesday 16th June.

Please follow the latest guidance from the Government and we will continue to monitor the situation closely.

Ofqual has published a message to students to reassure them that they, and exam boards, will do everything they can to make sure that grades are fair and students are not disadvantaged because of this unprecedented situation.

The school will operate a monitored answer machine for urgent messages; please dial 020 8729 1141 to access this service.

We will continue to update you as often as possible. Thank you for your continued support.
