Phoenix Cultural Day
We are excited to inform you about Phoenix Cultural Day on Friday 16th of July. The School Council has arranged this event to embrace and celebrate the diversity within our school community and also to raise money for UNICEF, in aid of those suffering in the Israel-Palestine conflict.
On Cultural Day pupils are encouraged to come into school in traditional or cultural clothes if they want to and all non-uniform will require a £1 donation. We will have a variety of events including teacher vs student football match, arts and crafts and various other games and activities. We will also be playing music from different countries and cultures, bringing our school together. The event has been planned to meet with the latest DfE guidance on Covid-19.
If you would like to get involved, support your child’s participation or donate some cultural food then please contact Mr Bennett firstname.lastname@example.org or alternatively heads of year. Please list all ingredients used in any dish donated as we have allergy sufferers within our school. We are a nut free school. All money made will be donated to charity to help the humanitarian crisis.
Thank you, The Phoenix Academy Student Council
