Future Academies would like to express its gratitude towards all the staff, students, parents and local residents who have attended and given their feedback throughout our consultation phase. We have now held three separate consultation events regarding our plans for the future of Phoenix Academy and how we can best work together to enhance the learning environment of our school.

At the consultation in February, we presented more detailed plans for a new academy building and improved sports facilities on the site, as well as for new homes to fund the redevelopment.

We have used the feedback received from the local community to help us shape our final plans. We have also been listening to staff, students and other users of the school to best understand their needs.

We held a fourth and final planning preview to display our plans ahead of submitting a planning application to the London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham. Given government guidance in relation to coronavirus (COVID-19), this took place online between 1st and 12th July.

Please use the button below to access our consultation website, where you can find out more about the plans, what they will deliver for our staff, students and the wider community and give us your final comments and thoughts.

If you would prefer to take part in another format, please get in touch by phone or email and we can arrange alternative arrangements for you.

SECTION 77 CONSULTATION

In order to enable our development of the new academy building, sports facilities and other community facilities, we are planning to self-fund the enhancement of our school through the building of new homes on the site. Since this project involves the reduction and change of use of ‘playing field land’ (as defined in the School Standards Framework Act 1998), Future Academies has an obligation to obtain consent from the Department of Education for the proposals. This is known as a ‘Section 77 consultation’ and is separate to the planning application for the wider academy proposals, which will be submitted to the London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham.

We are consulting specifically on the reduction and change of use of ‘playing field land’ until 12th July 2020. If you wish to comment on this, please contact us.
