Final Week of Term

A message from the Principal

Dear parents and carers,

As we approach the final week of term I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for all your support during these challenging times. The students approach to this academic year has been great. I have been overwhelmed by the sheer number of subject nominations for our achievement assemblies on the final day. Given the amount of lost learning over the past few months its imperative that your child attends school until the end of term as a full curriculum will continue to be delivered until the end of term. I have outlined the plan for the final week of term which follows our usual protocols with the last day of term being a half day and students are allowed to wear non uniform.

End of term arrangements

Student Christmas lunch on Wednesday 16th December will be free for all students as I would like all students to enjoy family dining within their year group bubble. This has been agreed by all Future Academies schools.

To ensure all students finish lunch before the start of period 5 Year 7 and 8 will go for lunch slightly early.

Year 7: 12:00

Year 8: 12:20

Year 9 & 10: 12:30 (line up in their playground and will be called into the canteen)

Year 11: 12:30 in the Vibe

Last day of term

Friday 18th December will be non-uniform day for students. Students will pay £1.

Period 1 &2: normal lessons

Break

Extended tutor period and celebration assemblies: 10:25-12:00.

I wish you a restful Christmas and a Happy New Year.
