“Phoenix Academy are delighted to report improved GCSE outcomes for the fourth successive year for our Year 11 students; a reward for their hard work during their time at our school.
For the second successive year time the school has achieved a + Progress 8 residual. This time +0.26 which means that students at Phoenix Academy make better progress with us, than the national average.
We are delighted that the targets that we set for ourselves this year; to narrow the progress gap between boys and girls and to ensure our high prior attaining students and our Pupil Premium students make progress in line with the national measure, have all be achieved. Phoenix Academy students achieved 70% Grade 4-9 in English and Mathematics, the headline attainment measure for student performance in England.”
